Welcome to SORE - Southern Ontario Association of Racing Injured Riders Fund.  We created this fund to assist injured riders financially while they recuperate. 

As any long time racer knows,  can be very difficult to pay bills while your laid up, so we have decided to do something to help our family of riders.

Any SOAR licensed rider injured during one of our events will be able to access funds. The amounts will be determined by the funds available. We will post all funds generated and all paid out.  Our intention is to allow our racing community 100% disclosure with this fund. In other words the balance will be available for all to see.

Thanks to all of our 2009 supporters, we were able to raise money to help our fellow injured riders in some very unique methods.  Stay tuned for updates on our plans for the 2010 season!

Our fundraising efforts were supported by the following:

• Private monetary donations which are always greatly appreciated.
• Gift in Kind - Donation of a gift in kind are auctioned/raffled off at our race weekends.
• Gift in Kind - Donation of equipment for our 2-Up Rides with Rupert.
• 2-Up Rides with Scott Rupert.  Not a Racer?  Experience the thrill of the racetrack on Scott's modified 2-Up Suzuki GSXR1000. Check-out our 2009 media for info on the 2-Up rides.
• 50/50 draws.

How to request funds

We hope you are never going to need to access these funds, but if you do, please contact us at soreriderfund@soaracing.ca. to make a request.  Although it is our mandate to ensure that the fiscal information regarding this fund is always available to our racers, any recipients of these funds will remain anonymous.  In order to receive funds, you must be a licensed SOAR rider injured at a SOAR event.
